About GLR

In 1927 Henry Rosen saw an opportunity and started H. Rosen and Sons, a small metal, paper and rag recovery business in Detroit, Michigan. Henry’s success in growing the business created opportunities for his sons, Ben who joined in 1941, and Burt who followed in 1947. As the business continued to expand, GLR outgrew its Detroit location and moved to a 2 acre parcel in Roseville. This facility has grown into a 12 acre state-of-the-art recycling facility, which employs over 100 people today.

The 1970’s and 1980’s were a period of exciting growth for the company and Ben’s children joined the business. Today Ben, Ilene & Sandy, along with a dedicated management team, continue to meet the same dedication to quality and service that Henry Rosen started almost a century ago.
