GLR Recycling Solutions opens single-stream site
Jan. 13 -- GLR Recycling Solutions opened a single-stream recycling operation in Huron Township, Mich., Jan. 13. The facility is the Roseville, Mich.-based company´s second singlestream plant in the state and will process curbside recyclables communities collect in the region, including Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. The 50,000-square-foot facility will create up to 42 new fulltime jobs.
"Having been located in Michigan for more than 80 years, we felt it was important to invest in Michigan," said Sandy Rosen, CEO of GLR.
The facility will support single-stream recycling programs, which Michigan residents seem to prefer because they want to do the right thing, but they want it to be easy, Rosen said.
"People just want to put everything in one bin and not have to work at recycling," he said.
